There is a bad air around this LSU team.

Where it comes from probably only John Brady knows. Something just aint right. Is it Lloreda? Brady? The alignment of the planets? Who knows. I do know this, this is the LEAST enjoyable team to watch in the Brady era, and I include his first couple of teams which were terrible. At least those kids went balls out all the time This group doesn't and I think John Brady will end up getting the ax for it. There is also a SERIOUS lack of fan support for basketball at LSU....as anyone watching the game today will clearly see.

My opinion.....PARLAY Kentucky with all of your other selections today and laugh all the way to the bank.....until football season.

I agree. LSU will not sniff Kentucky today. The opening line had the cats by 3. I think they get a double digit win in Baton Rouge today.

I'm an LSU fan. I live 3 hours from BR so I don't get to more than one BB game a year(season ticket holder in football though), but I don't understand why there aren't 15k fans at every game. If I lived closer I'd go to every one I could. I guess Brady plus the subpar facility are a turnoff.

If I were an LSU fan, I would say that Brady has been, and will continue to be, a very good coach for LSU...Where have you all been the past 6 years?...Did you ever watch a game in the Dale Brown era?...Yes, the Tigers have had 2 stretches where they have lost 3 games and now they suck...

If I were an LSU fan, I would stand by these Tigers through the tough games and remember that they will finish 2nd in the SEC WEST this year...Brady is the future and we must also remember that we have 5 freshmen that will see considerable playing time this year and in the years to come...

If I were an LSU fan, I would not bet against the Tigers today, because I think getting points at Home in the SEC is a favor and the Deaf Dome will be alive and rockin'....Maybe the Tigers and BRady will gain some more respect with this victory today...I doubt it, unless you are a real LSU fan!....Good luck on your wagers today..

LSUpete:

It's great to see you post. This oldman has missed your posts since football season. Glad to see you feel Kentucky will handle LSU today. I'm with you on that opinion. Hope to see more of you as the tournaments approach. Best wishes to you with a successful day.

TIGERCLICKS,

Please drop the "real" fan bullshit. This is a gambling site, for people who want to discuss opinions on how and why to wager on any given day. There are PLENTY of LSU sites where you can post your pollyana opinions and preach to the choir.

Now to address some of your statements...

John Brady is nothing more than an average coach. He is neither great nor terrible. Also, while I am not a Dale Brown "lover", he did more for LSU basketball than John Brady has done, and to compare the program under these two coaches is simply a waste of time.

The SEC SUCKS in basketball this year, and a large testiment to that fact is that LSU could finish 2nd in the west. If you don't "get" this, then you are either a poor judge of REAL BB talent or you're fooling yourself.

Finally I do hope the Tigers win today, and I hope the dome is full to capacity. However, without Lioreda, I wouldn't "bet on it".

Good luck with YOUR wagers!

it's not about standing behind this tiger team, its about making money. i'm sick of brady and his excuses. although brady has gotten a few high profile recruits (swift, bright, bass, etc.) it's the one's that he couldn't get along with and left (johnson, j. young, etc.), those role players, that will keep these tigers from going any where this year. too young is not an excuse as you're finishing up the conference slate - ask syracuse.

bottom line, brady and his antics are turing a lot of people off in br.

Friday, Being in BR, I don't think he is turning off as many of us as you think...I have been around LSU basketball for 30+ years and these Tigers are playing harder as a team and also better Defense than any other team I can remember...Yes, Brady must prove himself come tourney time and just like any other great coach that is still coaching..."It's my way or the highway." Some kids can't handle that....I agree it is all about making money and we have to know when to play or fade...I don't care how good your team is, if you are playing anyone in the SEC and giving them points at home, the home team will be more motivated...I have bet against LSU a few times and won and also lost a few but I stay away from them most of the time...Yes, Syracuse will get pounded today also....Good luck Friday!

I too have been a lsu fan and student for many years. I hope they get it together but the defense has been autrocious the last three games. some teams can overcome the loss of their best player, but this team has yet to show it. my other problem is that brady has some super athletes on this team, but they play a half court game more suited to an ivy league team. let the gazelles run! good luck and at least we have lsu baseball revving up.

btw - I was talking about last years young syracuse team that won it all!

Joey Dimes, The Manager, and the Chicago Syndicate all have huge plays on LSU today. With that said, I'm not touching this game. Good luck!

TigerClicks .....

I think you are missing some of the Point here ..... it's not the fact that they DO or DON'T play Hard. THEY PLAY HARD AS HELL. They problem here is simple, Lloreda is Out, Guard/Small Forward play has been suspect in the last 2-3 weeks (Outside shooting I mean), & we lack a SOLID veteran to help calm the troops.

YES, we will play hard today & yes, we may keep it interesting early. But, without Lloreda to give us a solid Rebounding & Consistent Scoring Big Man inside AND our lack of Consistent outside shooting ... we are in for a Long Day today. PLUS, Kentucky always seems to be able to Pick up their Play to the "Next Level" whenever March gets here.

The Play here is KENTUCKY -4.5 to -6 here. It's not LACK of LOYALTY to the Tigers. It's the OPPORTUNITY to capitalize on an edge whenever it presents itself form a Money-Making standpoint. There is an edge here that is worth Playing.

LOYAL TIGER FAN, I am .... but I am also looking for games that give me an advantage ... this is one of them!

BIGCAJUN,

Loyalties aside, I am in agreement with most of your points...I was sitting on the 4th row when Ronnie Henderson made 8 3's in the 1st half and LSU was up 31 at halftime...He continued to shoot them in the 2nd half but missed them all and LSu was on the records forever as the losing team in the greatest comeback in College Basketball history...

The Wildcats have always played LSU, and for the most part, most SEC teams as well this time of year...I just looked at the consensus compared to the actual spread and my conclusion is, something doesn't look right...I would not play this game for more than 1* one way or another but I still think LSU is better than their last 3 games have shown...They have not played 4 games in a row bad all year and I hope they can avoid the Kentucky mystic today...

Kentucky has lost at Georgia and Vandy...They pulled out some miracle wins at UCLA, Miss.State, Tennessee, Michigan State, and Florida winning these games by a total of 12 points...Granted, they did win but not like the Kentucky teams of the past...These team will be out of the NCAA's in the early rounds this year...No more miracles left!!!

I am not playing LSU big today, but would be very surprised if they get blown out at home...

Tigers get blown out by 6 points....They made 17-17 free throws for an LSU record and just stayed with the Wildcats until the end playing their 4 freshmen most of the game....Made a stupid foul at the end to lose the cover but get the push for some...I hope all of our LSU fans didn't lose any money.....Yes Friday---LSU Baseball is here!!
